Looking for information on the parents/siblings of Bertha SCHABER. Per her death cert, her parents were Theodore SCHABER and Metta GOETZ. She was born 6 Jul 1869, in Frankfurt, Germany. She emigrated to the US abt. 1880 and married Frederick AXMANN. They had two children, Frederick & Clara (m. William BURBACH). After he died, Bertha married John (Johann) DOYEN on Sept. 29, 1892 in Brooklyn, Kings, NY. Their children were: John b.1893, Louise (my GM) b. 1895, Henry b. 1904 and Emma b. 1910. Last two children were born in NJ. By 1917, family living on Forest Ave in Queens; later moved to 126-26 149th St, Ozone Park. Bertha's known sisters were Emma and Louise who married James Spiers. Husband John died abt. 1925. Bertha spent the last 13 years of her life in a psychiatric hospital in Islip, LI. If you think we're related, please contact me.
