Wendy,
I am also looking for Schaufele's and have different spellings. My Grandfather was Christian Schaufele, he had a brother Konrad, they came to Dayton,Ohio in the 1880's. Their father was Johannes Schaufele and his wife was Luise Spiesz, they lived in Hofingen,state of Wurttemberg, near Stuttgart. They later changed their name to Shively. I have the male generation back to 1618. I don't know if any of this family went to Canada, but you never can tell.
