Peter Joseph Scheid-[3194] .
Peter married Maria Gertrude Williams-[3195] [MRIN:1324]. They had six children: Catharina, Anna Maria, Margaretha, Nicholas, Joannes, and Eva.
Catharina Scheid-[505] was born on 5 Jun 1849 in Saukville, Wisconsin, USA., was christened on 20 Jun 1849 in St Francis Mission, Saukville, Wisconsin, USA. died on 3 Aug 1937 in Landis, Saskatchewan., at age 88, and was buried on 7 Aug 1937 in Carmelheim cem, Landis area, Saskatchewan, Canada.
General Notes:The date of birth indicated on the death record (Vital records, Sakatchewan) as 24 Jun 1850 and the names of the parents, Joseph Scheid and Mary Bohlen, are obviously in error as indicated by the dates from the St Francis Mission (Saukville, WI) register. The marriage record (State vital records) states the parents are Peter and Gertrud..., While Catherina's death certificate (vital records, Province of Saskatchewan) indicated the parents are Joseph Scheid & Mary Bohlens. Both the marriage record and the birth register agree on the parentage, Pieter (Joseph) Sheid and Gertrud (Williams).
It is assumed that these latter records are correct since the parents were probably in attendance at the wedding ceremony, while the information, taken from the death certificate, likely originates from the memory of surviving offspring.
Catharina married Franz Zimmer-[504] [MRIN:235], son of Peter Zimmer-[3192] and Margaret Werth-[3193], on 31 Jul 1871 in Saukville, Wisconsin, USA. They had nine children: Peter, Elizabeth, Mary, Bernard, John (Jack), Frank J., Joseph Albert, Margaretha "Clara," and Anonymous.

Bernard Zimmer-[594] was born on 10 May 1878 in Saukville, Wisconsin, USA. died on 11 Mar 1962, at age 83, and was buried in Carmelheim cem, Landis area, Saskatchewan, Canada.

John (Jack) Zimmer-[596] was born circa 1881 in Wisconsin, USA. and died on 13 Feb 1957, at age 76.
General Notes:John A. Zimmer, age 28, crossed the border at Emerson, Manitoba, 22 Dec 1909, on route from Wisconsin to Landis, Saskatchewan in Train 109. He has on him at least the $25 needed to be allowed entry into Canada. He appears to be travelling by himself. - Report of Admissions, Port of Emerson, Microfilm T5475 Dec 1909-Mar 1911, NAC.
Departed Saskatkatchewan in 1911 other members of the family, but returned in 1916.

Frank J. Zimmer-[598] was born circa 1881 and died in Jul 1949, at age 68.
General Notes:
In his application for Homestead Patent for SW 22-36-18-W3 in the Landis-Saskatchewan area, dated 25 May 1909, Frank Zimmer declared that he was 24 years old and said he was German. The latter is erroneous since he was born in Saukville, Wisconsin as was his father Franz Zimmer. Frank originally obtained entry to this homestead 6 Jun 1905. He and his wife resided with his parents on NE 22-36-18-W3 from 15 Mar 1906 to 4 Sep 1906. During this time he was building a 14x24ft frame house, valued at $400, on his homestead. While it is not clear from the records when exactly he commenced residence on his own homestead he does indicate that he resided there from 5 Sep 1907 to 17 Mar 1908 and again from 2 Jul 1908 to 25 Mar 1909. During the brief period in between he and his wife had again resided with his parents. Frank also stated that he worked as a carpenter in Saskatoon when absent from his homestead.
During the first year, 1906, Frank broke 10 acres of land and cropped 5, In 1907 he cleared 8 acres and cropped 15 and in 1908 he had cleared 13 acres and cropping 20. He did not have any livestock yet built a stable valued at $50.
The homestead patent was issued 28 Feb 1910. After the death of Frank's father, Franz Zimmer in 1910, he and the majority of his family members with the exception of bother Ben Zimmer, returned to the USA in 1911.
Frank Died in a car accident in 1949.

Joseph Albert Zimmer-[600] was born on 20 Apr 1890 and died in Sep 1979 in Golden Rod, Florida, USA., at age 89. Another name for Joseph was Joseph Albert Zimmer.

General Notes:
"Clara, the last one in the family, was married to Joe Gaulet in the fall of 1907 by Fr. Schebius, at Carmelheim. They spent their honeymoon in Quebec, then came back and took up farming. They later moved to Ponteix, Sask. Joe passed away in Regina." (memory - Elmer Zimmer)
