I may be able to help you.I have a george scheid born in germany. I do not know his father or any brothers or sisters.They lived in Mchenry Il. It seems that if there was a scheid in Mchenry they were related. could your John be the nephew of my geatx3grandfather? George was born 2-18-1810 d-12-12-1882
