Looking for John Scheid born in Germany, came to USA about 1827 or 1828. It is said that he had a older brother named Phillip that came to USA before he did and he settled in PA. or Ohio. John was born in 1816 so he was young when he came to America. I don't know who his father was.
He married Joanna Fearherlin about 1844 borned in Ohio.
Their Children are:
Ellen born in 1846, went to TX., married John Straight, IN.
Alfred and Albert, twins born 1848, went to TX.
(Albert married Sallie Johnson
(Albert married Annie Blanchard
Mariah born 1851, married and stayed in Ohio
John born 1854, unknown
Sidney born 1856, went to TX. married Lena Crump
Dorothy born 1862, went to TX., married Olive McCombs
Joanna born 1864, unknown
Andrew Jackson born 1867, married Ida Morris
Martin Van born 1869, married Viola Watson
The younger children were born in Cincinitti, Ohio. They left Ohio and went to IN. Ellen married John Straight while there in 1875. They were in Texas in 1877.
I found them in the 1880 census, Grayson CO.,Texas. They settled in Whitesboro township. The Scheid name on this census was spelled Schide.
