just recieved a letter from my grandfathers cousin (Mrs Young)with some family information.
John Scheid Born Jan 14, 1839 in Bertschalten, Baveria Germany. Came to America in 1855. Settled in Wisconson, later moved to Barber township Minnesota, later mved to Easton Minnesota.
Married 3 times. Last wife named Minerva(Minnie) Hammond born Aug 19 1855 in Alsac Lorraine (France?) John Scheid second wife died he had 5 yound children named???
Married Minervain 1874. They had 7 children. Charles 1876-1963, Martin 1877-?, Peter 1880-1944, Minnie 1884-1962, frank 1885-1964, Annie 1887-1969, Herman 1892-1969.
Pete Married Minnie (Mary/Minerva)Lynch They had 5 children
Herbert, Florence, Albert, Robert, Raymond.
Herman had Ellen C.Scheid, Preston, and others.
The dates should be correct, but they were translated from German by a student many years ago.
Peter born in 1880 married to Minnie was my grandfathers father. I think that his father Johns name was actually Johannan Peter. My family always said that Peters fathers name was Peter. In my research I have found a Peter/ Johannan Peter / John who seem to be the same person
