Hello,
I am insearch of Frank J Scheidt (or Scheitt on 1880 Minnesota Census) born 1844 in France or his parents who were also Born in France (names unknown).
Frank's wife was named Anna (maiden name not found as yet)and was born in Wisc to parents were born in France and Germany.
The earliest Census in which I can find Frank J Scheidt was the 1870 Minnesota Census where he was listed living with a man named John Ratsch age 43 from Germany. Both men were listed as Citizens of the US at that time.
Frank J Schedit had a son named George M. Scheidt born in 1876 in Minnesota. George M. Schedit is my Great Grandfather and I would appreciate any information someone out there could provide!
