Dear David,

What I know was sent to me by Carl Creglow Scheid, a grandson of Adolph and Catherine. According to his records, Adolph died in 1934 and Catherine in 1950. Both are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee. I do not have specific dates. I do have portraits of both of them. They probably died in Milwaukee since that is where they lived. I have found them in the 1920 and 1930 census in Milwaukee and in the 1910 census under Sheid, Adolph J. I have Magdalena in the 1880 census in Kalamazoo under the name Lena Repmanns along with 3 daughters, Catherine, May (or Mary, can't be sure) and Rosa. I am glad to know Magdalena's name was Schanz. Is this her maiden name or the last name of her second husband? I would appreciate any info you can give me on Catherine Rebman.
Catherine M. Scheid married Fredrick Reisweber on 6/15/1929 in Milwaukee. She was born 9/01/1905 and he 3/17/1904 both in Milwaukee. He died 3/29/1959 in Milwaukee and is buried at Holy Cross. I talked to Catherine on the phone in 2002. As far as I know she is still alive although she would be 101! They had 4 children, Fredrick, Joan, Karen and Katherine.
I have more, including adresses, but I do not want to post it. You can contact me at ccscheid@earthlink.net. If you can't access the censuses, I can send you copies if you want them and give me an address or e-mail address. I would very much appreciate any info you can give me on Magdalena Shanz.
Sincerely, Connie Scheid
