Hello fellow Schelpers (and Shelpers)
I've been researching Schelpers for about 5 years, trying to group them into "clans" in the US, with the hopeful goal of finding a common ancestor in Germany. As such,I have an extensive database of Schelper families. Large concentrations in Texas, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
My own Schelper ancestors came from Detmold, Germany and after immigrating, settled in Brooklyn, NY and Syracuse, NY
