Hallo,
I read your messages at the genforum.
Some of aur ancestors went to USA and we don't know something about them.
One of the Scherrers who emigrated to USA in the 1849/50 ? was Johannes Scherrer, born 24.4.1824 in Gimbsheim. His Father was Rudolf Scherrer born 13.6.1790 in Gimbsheim, death 19.9.1858 in Gimbsheim. His wife was Johannetha Martin,
born 17.7.1802 in Walduelversheim, death 17.11.1854 in Gimbsheim. Gimbsheim is near Darmstadt/ Hessen.
Perhaps there are a relation to your Scherrers.Please let me know if there are a relation to your Scherrers.
