Thank you for the information. Yes it is the same family. Johannes Scherrer (later called John Sharrer) was my Great Great Grandfather. I would be very interested in any additional information you might have about Rudolf. The story in the family is that he was in Napoleon's Imperial Guard and a survivor of the Rusian Campaign. Thank you so much for posting the information. I would be happy to share any names and dates that you might find useful.
