Johann Augustus Scherrer -immigrated to US in 1730

I am trying to establish the birth place of Johann Augustus Scherrer/Shearer who emmigrated to the US in 1730. (His wife was Anna Magdalena). I have seen many trees online which say he came from Lachen Speyerdorf, Bayern, Pfaiz, Germany. I am trying to find the source of this information.
