Michael Scherrer, born on January 22, 1863 lived in Los Angeles. He never married,became an American cititzen in April 1935 and died that same year in Septmeber 1935.
He is burried in Inglewood Park Cemetery, LA. His grave does not have a marker. I inquired about a grave marker - there is none. Here the answer from the cemetery:
"Michael Scherrer was interred in Lot 1530, “F” Plot, on 9/27/2935. Our records indicate that there no marker was ever placed on this grave.
The grave appears to have been purchased at his time of death, and was deeded to his Estate. Perhaps the executor did not have the funds, or chose not to spend them on a memorial tablet for him. This is not unusual."
Michael Scherrer visited - after 21 years - his brother Heinrich in 1908 and returned to the US that same year.
