I am trying to trace my American relatives. My grandfather Vincent Schiavo emigrated to America in the early years of this century. He settled in New York along with his brothers and sister.(Luigi,Pietro,Geraldo and Rosa)They came from a small village in the Frosinone region called Gallinaro.Around the time of the first world war vincent,Luigi and Rosa resettled in Manchester England.I know I have relatives in the States Because my late Father Carmine met a cousin of his on a visit to Gallinaro in the early 1970's.Unfortuanately we have lost the name and address of this man and only know he was from New York and was involved with a travel company possibly called Zenith.I would be grateful If anyone could help me in any way or Know of any Schiavo family members in the New York area whose relations come from Gallinaro.I visited Gallinaro in 1983 and in the church the names on the graves of my family was Schiavi but this was changed to Schiavo when they went to America
