My family left Brandenburg around 1932, as things were not looking good for Herr v. Schleicher's brothers. Kurt v. Schleicher was my great great uncle. The v. Schleicher family supported Hitler's chancellorship because the Nazi party was the best chance for defeating socialism. Had socialism prevailed, we would have lost our estates in Brandenburg (where our family is from) and in Berlin. The v. Schleichers and the Hindenburg families were very close. You may learn more by contacting the descendants of Otto von Hindenburg, Pres. Hindenburg's son. I know a great deal more. Feel free to contact me at The v. Schleicher family is immense. One of the family companies, founded in 1937, is just called "Schleicher" and they do business with IBM. You may also want to look at the company "Schleicher Scheull" in Germany. Viel Gluck , Sebastian.
