I have a GGgrandfather Carl August Ludwig Schleicher born in Gustrow, Mecklenberg(Prussia at times)in 1826. My info is that he died in Davenport Iowa, but do not know the documentation of that. He had 2 sons & a daughter in Germany & was in the US for about 6yrs b$ he died -- slim chance - but any connection??
