I posted a reply a couple of days ago but it didn't go thru, so here it is again. I found Elizabeth's parents' names on her death cert. in Indianapolis, IN. She died in 1906. She lived there with William RICHMANN and 5 girls and my father, George. She had two other boys who died as infants. My father was 40 when he married my mother age 20. so my cousins were all older than me. Several in the family had no children so I have no one left to get information from. My dad told me that William came from Baden, on the Rhine River. I wish I had asked him more questions. Elizabeth may have been a daughter of your Uncle Joseph. Her mother's name was Margaret KUSSMAN. I will try to get to Lawrenceburg, IN to do some research. I have found these Schleicher names in the Marion County, IN birth records:
Earl?, mother Freda CROGS- Child, June, b.3 Nov 1910
C. Henry, mother- EDWARDS-ch. male, b. 21 Oct 1897 and a fem. b 4 May 1901
Albert, mother PRAUAR- ch. m. b. 21 May 1901
Also, I have some marriage records, so there were SCHLEICHER's in Indianapolis, IN about 1900.
Thanks for the info. will keep in touch.
