Seeking descendants of Jacob Frederick Schlichter (B. abt.1807 Germany, D. abt1859 Pike County, OH). Married before 1835 (1) Susanna Mary Miller,(B. unknown D. about 1841 Muskingum County, OH). By this marriage he had three children: (1) John Friederick Schlichter (1835-1876), married Catherine Kaufmann; (2)Susanna Mary Schlichter, (1837-1911, married Valentine Burkel; (3) Charles Christian Schlichter (1839-1924), married Mary Elizabeth Hauck.

Jacob Frederick Schlichter married secondly Catherine Fink on 23 Dec 1842 in Pike County, OH. By this marriage he had eight children:(1) Catherine Schlichter (abt. 1843-?); (2)Elizabeth Schlichter (1844-1929) married Peter Hauck; (3) Charles Frederick Schlichter (1846-1930) married Amanda Catherine James; (4) Caroline Schlichter (1848-aft1930) married ? Branden; (5)Mary Schlichter (1850-1936) married Jacob Hobstetter; (6) Barbara Schlichter (1934-?); (7) Jacob Schlichter (1856-?) married Mary Ellen Gordon; (8) George Samuel Schlichter (1857-?) married Elmira Dixon.
