Hi, I am Dick Smaling from The Netherlands
I don't know if you can use my information o build a new tree for the familyname Smaling.
I know that 'somebody' here in the Netherlands searched for the familytree Smaling in Holland. He phoned me a couple of years a go, and promised me to show the investigations he did, but never heard of him. He told me that in the period he looked for the name Smaling, he found 365 people who carry this name in HOLLAND. Know that he get back tot the century 1500-1600.
Could it be that there are some links between the family Smaling in the Netherlands and the US? Also I discovered that there are many Smaling-names in Australie.
Can somebodygive me a hint or clue?
Thanks in advance!
Greetings from Holland!

Dick Smaling
