Dear Michael
My husband Robert Schmaling is of the same line as you.
He is the son of Donald Schmaling who is the son of Carl, Margaret's brother. I would love to know more as we are going to Germany next year and hope to visit some areas where the family had roots.
Do you know whether there are also descendants in USA? I thought that maybe a brother of Christian Friederick may have migrated there.
I would also love to see the maps you speak of.
Regards Chris Nicholls
