SCHMALING, from Prussia to Australia.

Hello fellow researchers,
Every now and then I remember that I am supposed to be researching my husband's family as well as my own and I get back to my SCHMALING research even if it is only for a brief time.

My husband's 2xgrt grandparents were Christian Friederick SCHMALING & Caroline MULLER.

Christian Friederick SCHMALING, son of Christian SCHMALING & Charlotte LELLIKI, was born in 1817 in Grabow, Prussia, Germany. He died on 24 July 1896 in Mt.Kent, Qld, Aust.       
Emigration detail: 30 January 1862 "Cesar Godeffroy" dep Hamburg 26 10 1861, arrived Moreton bay 30 1 1862. He married Caroline MULLER in Bussow, Prussia, Germany, date not known but probably between 1835-1840.
Their children and descending families settled in the Darling Downs/Toowoomba district.

Their known children are:       

Christian Frederick SCHMALING       b: 22 December 1840 in Bussow, Prussia, Germany. d: 15 May 1908 in Douglas, Qld, Aust. m: Johanna Luise Frederike DUNNEMANN *2nd Wife: Johanna C KLEMM
       
Albertine Wilhelmine SCHMALING b: Abt. 1844 in Beissof, Prussia, Germany. d: 21 January 1924 in Back Plains, Qld, Aust. Emigration detail: 30 January 1862 "Cesar Godeffroy" dep Hamburg 26 10 1861, arrived Moreton bay 30 1 1862. m: Johannes NAUMANN

Marie Louise SCHMALING b: 1849 in Brussow, Germany. d: 31 July 1933 in Highfields, Qld, Aust. m:Johann Jost KAHLER, great grandparents of my husband, Wayne KAHLER.

Carl Herman SCHMALING       b: 17 January 1853 in Bussow, Prussia, Germany. d: 7 August 1926 in Goombungee, Qld, Aust. Emigration detail: 25 October 1861 "Cesar Godeffroy" dep Hamburg 26 10 1861, arrived Moreton Bay 30 1 1862. Aged 8. m: Caroline VOLKMANN
