Schmeichel's sister Ida married Walter Martens. A son of Ida and Walter Martens is Dr. Rudolf Martens. Anna's sister Ella married Fritz Rollier. Photographs of Ida and Ella indicate they lived in or near Kolberg now Koloberz in the 1918's. Ida was still alive when her husband Walter Martens died in 1955.
