Schmidt from Mecklenburg-Schwerin to America

I happened to find the following baptism:

Friedrich Johann Carl SCHMIDT
* 10 Feb. 1869 in Malow
~ 19 Feb. 1869 in Marnitz
Father: Joachim Friedrich Christian SCHMIDT, daylaborer in Malow
Mother: Hanna Marie Friederike née HOFFMANN
Godparents: Marie Riemann, wife of a daylaborer; Johann Maknuhs, daylaborer; Carl Hintzpeter, daylaborer
Source: Evangelical Lutheran church book Marnitz near Parchim, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, baptisms 1869, no.6

Additional information to this baptism "mit den Eltern 1869 nach Amerika", means went with his parents to America in 1869.

Hope this helps some SCHMIDT researchers whose ancestors came to America in 1869 from southern Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

Regards from Germany, Willi
