My great grandparents Frances/Fanny/Faginda and Nathan/Noach Schnaperman emigrated to New York around 1902 from Lipkon, Romania. Fanny's mother was Chaya Rifka and her father was Yonkel, unknown last name, but they owned a flavor making factory in Lipkon, Romania. Nathan Schnaperman's mother was Toba.
Fanny and Nathan's children are Sally, Mae, Aron/Harry, Jack. She owned two Turkish baths in Elizabeth Port, New Jersey at some point. Nathan had a barbershop in Elizabethport, NJ and one in the Catskills, NY. Fanny had a brother Izzie, who had two sons Saul and Samuel. She had another brother named Louis, married to Gussie, with children named Jack, Dorothy, Aaron, Felix and Rose Barnes.
We believe Nathan was naturalized in New York City in the 1920's.
