Need information on Wilhelm Schneider b. 24 Dec 1830, d. 17 June 1901. Lived in Staunton, Illinois with wife Elisabeth b. 2 July 1837 d. 23 April 1912. Believe they to be my wife's G-Grandparents. They had a son John who died in a mine explosion in Staunton who may be John Schneider b. 8 October 1859, d. 9 August 1889. According to Staunton records Wilhelm and Elisabeth buried in Phelps Cemetary just off northside of Prairietown Rd., aka Renken Rd., 2.6 miles from Rt. 4, section 11 Omphghent township, Madison County. Can someone in Staunton or thereabouts check records and give me information on Wilhelm and Elisabeth, their ancestry and descendants. The only children I have is the John mentioned above and a Louise Madeleine Schneider b. 19 November 1875 in Staunton and married Robert Gregg around 1890 in Staunton, my wife's grandparents. Any help greatly appreciated. Ken
