Searching for information or family members of AUGUSTUS SCHNEIDER and ALBERTINA SEDLOCK from PRUSSIA, NEW YORK CITY, and OHIO (LANCASTER). Augustus was born March 1830 in Prussia (Silesia). Albertina was from roughly the same area, or possibly Austria. She was born December 12, 1830. The father of Albertina was JOHN SEDLOCK. Albertina immigrated to the U.S. in 1852. Albertina and Augustus first lived in New York City between 1852 and 1857. They had three children during that period - Mary, born November 20, 1854; John, born May 16, 1856 who died the following day; and Augustus born June 20, 1857(?). I am looking for information on both Augustus and Albertina - mainly where they lived in Prussia/Austria and if they have any relatives in New York City. I also have three PHOTOS that are quite old and where taken in #1 LEOBSCHUTZ (H. Mollendorf - photographer), #2 BEUTHEN or KATTOWITZ (Carl Liebert - photographer), #3 Waldenburg, Breslau, or Salzbrunn listed on the back of the photo - WALDENBURG only listed on the front(A. Leisner - photographer). The man in photo #3 is in a military uniform. CAN ANYONE HELP DIRECT ME TO WHERE I MAY FIND INFORMATION ON THE PHOTOGRAPHS. Unfortunately, I do not speak or read German.
