Hi Debbie,

I noticed that your Florenz had an "A.D." for middle initials. Is it possible that his surname was Dillenschneider or Dielenschneider before going through Immigration? My great grandfather was Sylvester Dillenschneider in Prussia until he reached the USA. Then they shortened it to Sylvester D. Schneider. (Coincidentally, his father's name was Florenz Dillenschneider, although I am sure it isn't the same as your ancestor.)
