I have seen both spellings for my Snyder, Schneider family. I know so very little about my great-grandfather Snyder. His name was Michael Snyder (Schneider) and he was born about 1865. He worked in Baltimore as a baker. He had one brother, likely named John. I do not know if there were any other siblings. He married Anna Maria Raubach who died of Thyphoid Fever when my grandmother (baptized with the same name as her mother) was an infant. Paul, since your Schneider ancestors lived in Frederick Co., MD perhaps there is a link? I know a lot of Germans came from the old country and settled in PA and then moved into Maryland, Ohio, etc. Can you help me????
