Hi Vicki,
I have just returned from Switzerland. The records in Switzerland are fantastic. The problem is, they are in German, and they are hand written. So they are difficult, if not impossible, to read. The best hope is to find an expert who will do this for you at a reasonable rate.
We hired an expert and traced the Wyssbrod line back to 1640 for about $450.00. I personally considered that to be well worth the price.
I learned that my great grandmother was Maria Schneider, born in Seewil, Berne, Switzerland, which is why I am here.
