After I posted my earlier message to you I came across your original posting. I am beggining to figure it out, I think. My great grandfather George Henry is your great grandfather's oldest brother. I have Jacob (Jake) Schneider (b. 2/24/1855 Cottleville, MO d. 6/4/1925 Clinton, MO.) marrying Carolina Keohler (from Schleusburg, MO) in 1878.
They are referred to as the "Clinton, MO" Schneiders. Jacob Schneider and Eva Catherine Gerlach are our gg grandparents. They were married May 7 1846 in Germany (See my earlier responses from your response on George Henry).
I do have one difference. I have your g grandfather listed just as Jacob. He and George Henry had a brother namesd John Jacob Michael Schneider (b. 2/7/1854 d. 3/10/1854) who died only a month after death. I have other siblings as Anna Marie (Mary), Eva Catherine, Johann Michaeal and unnamed twins who died at birth.
It gets very confusing because there are so many Jacobs, Johanns, John etc.
