I don't know if my Schneiders are related to yours, but, here goes:

My Great-Grandmother was Margaret Schneider and was born in southeastern Indiana circa 1840s. She married my Great Grandfather, Christopher Zins who came over in 1852 at the age of 15 from Gros-Rederching, Lorain, France, about 5 miles from the German border, near Saar-Brucken, Germany. Her parents would have come over to America prior to that time. They were both from a small town called Baden Baden, Germany, in the western part of Germany not too far from the French border. I have the names of both Great-Great Grandparents but I don't have them in front of me.

I'm trying to locate anyone who could be related to me from the Schneider family. Schneider in German means "Tailor."

Have a good Christmas and New Years. Frohe Weinachten und Gluckliges Neue Jahr!

Dayton Dan Waltz
