Wish I could be of help, Angie. My Karl Schneider was born to a military family in Alsace-Lorraine and all I know about him for certain is his date and place of birth. After that, I have hit a brick wall. From other family information, I am assuming that the family originally came from the Hannover area. I am guessing that he may have been in the Chicago area around 1885.
