I believe ourfamilies may be related. The Ulmers married a Weindel from Mechtersheim, Pfalz, Bayern, Germany. The Weindels also married the Schneiders. Augustine Weindel,my GGGG uncle married Maria Catherine Ulmer. The Schneiders, et al settled in N.O., LA in 1853.They lived in the uptown area. They attended St. Henry Church. There were other Schneiders who were Lutheran living in the same area.
