My great great grandfather Michael Schneider was born in Alsace-Lorraine and came to the United States in 1830 with a family by the name of Breitenbucher. He married their daughter in 1838. I believe they lived for a brief time in Yates County, New York, before moving to the Ashland, Ohio area. I have information on this part of the Schneider family.
