Isaac Schnader purchased about 80 acres of land, part of which belonged to the old homestead, and lived upon it until his death, in 1881, when it was sold, and the last of the land originally take up by Christian Schneider in 1733 passed out of the family name.
Susan Weaver, the wife of Isaac Schneider was descended from Jacob Weber, one of the Swiss Mennonites who settled in Weber-Thal about the year 1723. Jacob Weber settled near Blue Ball, he died in 1747. His children were; Jacob, Samuel, George, John (known as Hans), Henry, Babara, who married Peter Gander, Elizabeth, who married Peter Eaby, Mary who married Abraham Kendrick, Anne, who married Christian Root.
John Weber, the 4th son of Jacob, married Barbara Buckwalter, and had children; Jacob, John, George, Abraham, Joseph, Anna the wife of John Sherick, Barbara the wife of Peter "Worst", and Elizabeth the wife of Owen Bruner.
Joseph Weaver, son of John, married Mary Lands, a descendant of Rev. Ben. Landis, who with his son, Benjamin, settled in East Lampeter township, Lancaster, PA., about the year 1717. The children of Joseph and Mary were; Nancy who married Christian Kurtz,Barbara who married John Geigly, Mary died unmarried, Elizabeth who married John "Pleam", Lydia who married "Esaias" Schneider, Joseph who married Nancy Martin, John who married ______Kurtz, Solomon who married _____Ream, Henry who married Barbara Ranck, Phoebe married Jacob Overholtzer and Susanna who married Isaac Schnader.
We have the following record of the children of Isaac and Susanna (Weaver) Schnader.
(1) Solomoon Schnader married Elizabeth Crawford, a d/o James and Mary (Bothwell) Crawford who came from Tyrone, Ireland.
(2) Mary Anne Schnader is the wife of John Spatz, of Mohnsville, Berks County.
(3) Susanna Schnader, the wife of Hiram D. Mohn of Reading, PA.
(4) William D. Schnader, married Emily L. Weiler, a d/o Levi and Mary (Weaver) Weiler. Children, Suette "Snader" wife of Dr. A.V. Walters, of Brownstown, PA; William D. "Snader" of Lancaster.
(5) Aaron Weaver "Snader", the youngest child of Isaac and Susanna (Weaver) "Schnader", he was born in East Earl township, Lancaster County, PA on the old "Schneider" homestead, Feb. 23, 1844. In 1875 he married Sarah White Huffman, d/o Jonathan and Margaret (White) Hufman. Children, Edward, and Margaret.
"Hufman" Family; Great-grandparents who came to America from Wales, where their children were born. Rev. Daniel, born 1769, died 1855, married Elizabeth William, a d/o Capt. Williams of the Rev. The Williams family came to this county from England. The children of Rev. Daniel and Elizabeth (Williams) Hufman were; John who married Abigail Cramp, William who married Sarah Cramp, Hannah who married John Geiger, Hanry who married Mary Walters, Catharine, wifeof Michael "Hoffman", Ann, the wife of Michael Sands, Jonathan, whho married Margaret White, Elizabeth, who married George Ireson, and Matilda R., wife of Peter Brown.
Jonathan Hufman, 7th child of Rev.David and Eliz. was born in Berks County. He married Margaret White, who was born 1811, d/o John and Sarah (DeHavan) White, and died in 1882. They had 10 children; George, Elizabeth, who married Peter Hart of Reading, Henry (Civil war), Harriet, Sarah White, who married Aaron W. Snader, John E., of Berks County, Mary, who married H. Rhoads of Reading, Emma, the wife of Martin Wickline, Hannah, who died young, William, who died young.
DeHaven Family: Herman DeHaven came to America about 1706 from France and settled near Phila., PA. Sarah White Snader traces her line from Herman DeHavan through his son Edward and the latter's son Herman, who was her great-grandfather. He married Susanna Miller of Reading and they had 8 children. John, whereabouts unknown, James, married Anna Ranck, Edward married Anna Thompson, Abraham, who married Agnes Thompson (sister to Anna), Isaac, married Hannah Miller ( they were ancestors of the DeHavens of Pittsburg), Hannah, who married John Keemer, Alice, who married Thomas Lincoln, Sarah, who married John White, and they were the grandparents of Mrs. Aaron W. Snader.
