Casper Schneider, was a native of Reiskirchen, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany. With his wife and 2 children, Philip and Elizabeth emigrated to America in the year 1846, and settled at Reading (Berks County). He died somewhere about 1875. He is buried in Aulenbach cemetery, Reading. His daughter married Frantz Apple, a native of Germany, and lived in Reading.
Philip Schneider, a son of Casper, was also a native of Germany. He was bon=rn July 10, 1838. He married twice, 1st wife was Sarah Mathias of Berks County, where she was born in Boyertown in 1836, she died in 1878 at 42 years of age. Philip Schneider is buried at Union Cemetery, Allentown, Lehigh County. Children; Elemina who married Henry Erb; James M.; Kate, who marrried Frank Nickum of Allentown; Lizzie who married William Peters of Allentown; William M.; Mary who married Milton Kline; and Annie who married Howard F. Weaver.
