MichaelSnyder or Michael Schneider, lived in Zweibruecken, Germany, came here in 1751, his son, Michael, was born in Zweibruecken, March 17, 1743.Michael Snyder enlisted in the Rev. War, was a captain of the 2nd Bttn, Northhampton County. He married Hannah _____ and they had children; Peter, Michael, Daniel, born Dec. 6, 1783, George, Johanna born Nov. 28, 1773, and another daughter. These daughters married Samuel Leukel and a Mr. Biege.

Peter, eldest son of Michael and Hannah, was born Sept. 5, 1771, and died Oct. 1, 1845. He married Maria Romig, born Oct. 1773, died Nov. 4, 1853, their son Peter, married ______ Haas.

Michael, second son Michael and Hannah, was born April 13, 1775, and died at Allentown, July 17, 1837. He married a Miss ______Dankel and had children; Thomas who married Deborah, a d/o Leonard and Barbara (Miller) Weiss, and they had children, Rufus and Simon; Oliver born Dec. 19, 1802 and ded Feb. 1, 1864, he married Margaret Haines born March 31, 1804, died Aug. 22, 1880 and had children, Thomas W., Jacob, W.H., ______ the wife of Daniel H. Greenawald, ______the wife of Edward Stetler.

George, youngest son of Michael and Hannah was born June 20, 1790, he married Elizabeth Schantz. born March 20, 1793 and died 20 June 1860, children; Deliliah who died unmarried, Elizabeth married Thomas Koch, Sarah married Samuel koch, Annie married Edward Sherer, Hannah married Moses Hoffman, John, George J., Rebecca married Henry J. Schmoyer.

Nicholas Snyder Family
"The Proprietors of PA, by Patents Deed date Dec. 14, 1770, and recorded in Paten Book A. Vol. II, page 461, conveyed unto Richard Peters 116 arcres of land, who sold the same unto Abraham Frantz, Dec. 15, 1770. The latter sold it unto Nicholas Snyder on Dec. 9, 1774, and he by deed bearing date Sept. 15, 1794, sold 58 acres and 119 perches unto his son, Jacob Snyder, who with his wife Maria, by deed bearing date Feb. 22, 1812, sold it unto Peter Snyder, who with his wife Hannah, by deed dated Jan. 29, 1819, sold it unto Jacob Snyder, who with his wife Catharine, conveyed the same tract of land unto Peter Snyder

The above tract of land was situated in Lehigh township, Northampton County, where Nicholas Snyder had lived and died and traditon tells us he is buried at St. Paul's church at Cherryville. In 1790 Peter Snyder still had two grown-up sons at home, and Nicholas Snyder Jr., had two sons and two daughters who where all less than 16 years of age. Henry Snyder, who had no children in 1790, also lived in Lehigh township. Peter Snyder the pioneer, doubtless had three sons and probably Henry was another of his sons.

Peter Snyder was a native of Lehigh township, Northampton county, and there was a farmer. He is buried at Indian Land church. By his first wife _____Semmel, he had children; Jacob, Abraham, Daniel, Peter, Josiah, and Jonas, who was drowned age 18. By his second wife ______had children; Thomas, Catharine,who married _______Benniger, Lydia, Elizabeth who married ______Saeger, Hannah, who married ______ Bartholoew, Maria aka Polly and Sallie.

Simon, son of Peter, was born Sept. 14, 1814. Member of the Evangelical church, he married Mary Ann Easterday, they both are now buried at Greenwood cemetery, Allentown. He died Jan. 13. 1892. Children; Elemia, of Phila., Paul of Palmerton, PA., Abbie married Daniel Vogel, Stephen was killed at Lehigh Gap, Emma, married F. P. Seibert, and lived at Allentown, Tilghman, of Etna Mills, Ind., Benjamin, born 1862, married in 1883 to Alavesta Fretz, Walter, of Neffs, PA., Westley died suddenly in Nov., 1912.

Felix Snyder, born in Whitehall township, now Fullertown), he married Lydia a d/o Benjamin and Susan (Gift) Moyer, of Allentown. Children, Franklin B., William T., and Maria who married Charles Graffin of Catasauqua.

Franklin B., son of Felix, was born in Whitehall township, Jan. 5, 1836. He married Elizabeth Lewis, d/o Jacob and Eliza (Sanders) Lewis, natives of NJ. She was born Feb. 23, 1838. Children; Alfred F., of Monroe county, Sarah, who married P.M. Broadbeck of Chicago, George L., and Marcus.

George L., son of Franklin, was born in Whitehall township, Nov. 19, 1872, in 1892 he married Maria Kline, a d/o Michael Kline. Children; Fred B., Miriam M., and William.
