Johannes Schneider, son of Heinrich, a farmer, member of the Reformed Church (Ebenezar Church) at New Tripoli, where he and his wife Barbara Kistler are buried. He was born Feb. 2, 1774, and he died Aug. 12, 1840. His wife was born Dec. 15, 1777, and died June 9, 1859.
Peter Schneider, son of Heinrich, was born Sept. 10. 1785 and he died April 25, 1859. He is buried at New Tripoli. His wife Catharine Kistler, was born June 14, 1790 and she died July 30, 1874. Children, Joseph, Daniel, David, Peter, Salome, who married Daniel Straub, Polly, married Solomon Shoemaker, and Lydia married Moses Semmel.
David "Snyder", the son of Peter, was born in March, 1813. He farmed till his death. He married Magdalena Hunsicker, d/o John and Anna (Hoffman) Hunsicker. Children; David, Nathan, Anna, married Alfred Kressley, Catharine, died at age 15, Edwin H., Madina, married Charles Walter, Polly married Aaron Huff. Members of the Reformed Church.
Daniel Snyder, son of Peter, born in Lynn township, March 27, 1826 and he died Oct. 8, 1897. He married Catharine Heintzelman, d/o George, she was born July 23,1828, she died June 8, 1869; Children; Owen, Willoughby, Nathan H., Daniel, Sarah married James Korn, Polly married Nathan Heintzelman, Louisa married 1st Phaon Miller, 2nd David Hauseman, Mary, married George Kistler. He married his 2nd wife, Julianna Mantz (1837-1889) who was a d/o David and Juliana (Smith) Mantz and a sister of Sarah (Mantz) Miller, the mother of Senator James A. Miller of Lehigh County. Children of the 2nd marriage. Lewis F., Edwin, Henry and Francis P. Members of the Reformed Church.
Edwin H. Snyder, son of David. was born in Heidelberg township, Feb. 1, 2845, he married in 1867 to Zenia Weber, d/o David, born Dec. 8, 1849, and died June 25, 1900. They had 5 children; Mary J., who married Ellsworth G. Lentz, Rose Anna, married Henry W. Sittler, Ida M, married James Peter, George D., died at age 3, and Henry E. Members of the Reformed Church.
Nathan Snyder, son of Peter, who is the son of Peter, was born in Lynn townshp, he married Maria George, d/o Levi of Lowhill, later of Schuykill county. Children, Mary who married Milton Reitz, Oscar N., of Egypt, PA and George of Allentown.
Willoughby Snyder, son of Daniel, who was the son of Peter, who was the son of Johannes, who was the son of Heinrich, he was born March 1, 1851. He married in 1871 to Messina M. Hausman, d/o James and Julian(Mantz) Hauseman, and they had 2 sons, James D. and Ralph.
Nathan Snyder, son of Daniel, New Tripoli, was born July 14, 1866, he married Ellen L. Stump, d/o Nathan (who lived at the Pinnacle in Albany township, Berks County) and they had 6 children; John, Homer, who married Alice Loch, Mary C., Arthur D., Paul C., and Ellen May.
