III. Daniel Schneider, who was born in Bethel township, Lancaster, PA (later Berks) and he was the father of
IV. John Nicholas Schneider, the 1st of the family t settle in Northumberland Co., he was born Sept. 10, 1749, and died Oct. 28, 1821. His wife, Anna Maria, born Nov. 25, 1756 and died Dec. 23, 1827. Buried at Himmel's Church. Early members of the family were good singers. Children; Johann Jacob, Johann Peter, Abraham, George, Maria Catharine (1779-1859), married Andreas Geist, Anna Catharine, born July 6, 1792, married Johan George Erdman (1778-1858), she died Aug. 20, 1842 and is buried at Herb Church.
V. Johan Jacob Schneider, son of Johann Nicholas, was born Nov. 20, 1780 in Upper Mahonoy twp., and he died May 29, 1851. He married Magdalena Erdman, born June 7, 1783 and died Oct. 31, 1861. Members of Himmel's church, where they are buried. They had 13 children; Jacob, John A., Joseph, Jonathan, George, Samuel, Peter, Heinrich, David, Sallie who married David Hoffa, Kate, who married Jacob Hetrich and Lydia, married _____ "Moritz"
V. John Peter, born Sept. 10, 1782, married Gertraut Maurer, born July 5, 1779 and died April 1, 1844. They had; John and George, daughters, Sallie who married Jonathan Smith, Elizabeth married Nicholas Drumheller, Catharine, married John Hetrich and a daugther, who married Abraham Deppen.
V. Abraham, married Susanna Schweitzer.
V. George, married Catharine Wagner.
VI. Aaron Snyder (name changes), son of George, was born April 14, 1840, married Lizzie Erdaman d/o Abraham Erdman, who married ______Trautman, and they lived near Rough and Read, Schuykill County, they had 9 children.
VI. John A. Snyder, son of John Jacob, married 1st Maria Schollenberger, the d/o Benedict and Christina (Moyer).
