VII. Peter Snyder, was born in the Swabian Creek Valley. In 1876 he moved to Jordan township. He died Oct. 8, 1901, age 52. His wife Fietta Reiner, d/o Charles and Peggy (Masser) Reiner, from Berks County. Children, John M., and Charles, the latter lived in Portland, Oregon, he married Sallie Deibert, and they had a child, Jesse.
VIII. John M., son of Peter, was born Aug. 7. 1872 in Upper Hanover. On March 18, 1909 he married Hattie Schadel, d/o William and Catharine (Strohecker) Schadel.
VII. Thomas, son of John A., was born Dec.11. 1851, he married in 1880 to Emma REITZ, d/o Jonas REITZ, and they had 5 children; James, from Upper Mahonoy twp., married Mary Schreffler and they had 3 children, (Charles, Florence and Dory);C. Howard, married Teney Smith and they had 3 children, (William, Helen, and Flossie), Ira C., married Minnie Snyder and they had 2 children,(Ambrose and Edna), D.Francis, married Mary Rebuck and they had 2 children, (Emma and Sarah), Jennie M., married William Schreffler, brother of Mary (who married James L. Snyder), and they had 2 children, (Lloyd and Annie).
VII. Thomas Snyder, son of John A., was born Dec. 11, 1851. He married in 1880 to Emma REITZ, d/o Jonas Reitz. They had 5 children, (James L., who married Mary Schrefler and they had 3 children, Charles, Florence and Dory)
VI. Jonathan Snyder, son of Johan Jacob, was born in Swabian Creek, he died in 1876 age 67. Member of Lutheran Church. He married Susanna Schollenberger, d/o Bendict Schollenberger, of Albany, Berks County. Children, Simon S., Jacob S., who died on his farm in Leck Kill April 7, 894, age almost 64; Cornelius, died at Laporte, IN; Enoch; Emanuel; Gehart of Bloomsburg; Henry M.; Lydia, who married Gabriel Reiner; Elizabeth who married William Kehres; Sarah married William Kauffman.
VII. Simon S. Snyder, son of Jonathan, was born March 2, 1829, and died Jan. 3,1904.He married Leah WETZEL,born Nov. 20, 1829, and died June 21, 1886, d/o Peter WETZEL. Children; Lizzie who married Peter Paul, William W., Edwin W., Kate married Joel Daniel and 2nd Preston Fretz, Sarah E., married Edwin Beisel and 2nd Samuel Herb, Susan, married Daniel Runkel.
VIII. Edwin W. Snyder, son of Simon S. He was born Feb. 4, 1857 in Upper Mahantango township, Schuykill county. On June 9, 1879, he married Mary Ann Herb, d/o Henry and Catharine (Fetherolf)Herb, and granddaughter of Adam and Magdalena (Schwartz) Herb. Children; Clara J., Sadie who married Sylvester Fetter, Henry S., who married Mary Kersteller, D. Edwin, married Mamie Leitzel, Bessie L., married Henry Wehry, Victor C., Lloyd E., Allen H., Gehret H., and Ora E>
VII. Henry M. Snyder, postmasera Hickory Corners, Northumberland County. On 21 March 1875, he married Esther R. Zartman, d/o Daniel and Hettie (Raker) Zartman. Children; Daniel J., who was a principal of Mifflinville high school in Columbia county, PA., Harlan R.C. was supervising prncipal of West Berwick schools, in Columbia county, and Esther. Members of Stone Valley Lutheran and Reformed Church.
VI. John S. Snyder, son of Abraham, was born in Upper Mahanoy township, Dec 16, 1824 and he died Nov. 3, 1901. He married Susanna Schreffler born April 19, 1826, and died June 28, 1902, d/o Godfried Schreffler, both are buried at St. John's Church in U. Mahanoy. Children; Sarah who married Andrew Dunkleber and they made their home in Michigan; Edward of Sunbury; Mary the wife of Jerry Beissel, of South Bend, IN; Rudolph; Luzetta, the wife of Joel Haning; Elias; Emma; Sevilla married Daniel Herb of Mt. Carmel, PA; John (lost track of him); Vesta, who married Robert Maurer of Mahantago, and four died.
VII. Rudolph Snyder, son of John S., was born Feb. 3, 1852. In 1881, he married Sarah Alice Geist, d/o Daneil and Cecilia (Updegraff) Geist. Children; Irwin, who married Carrie Heim; Casper, married Minnie Bentzinger; Sadie married Charles Mattern; Walter; Gurney; Alverta; Carrie; Williard; and Millard. Members of the Himmel's Church.
VI. Daniel S. Snyder, son of Abraham, was born Jan. 6, 1827, he died March 18, 1903. He married Sarah A. Smith, d/o Samuel. Children; Harriet, married 1st Edward Erdman and 2nd David Hepler; Martin; Wesley; Malinda, who married Dr. H.H. Mailick; Ellen, who married William Houghton; Daniel of Allentown, Lehigh county; Milton, born April 13, 1861; Samuel; Savira or Sovira; Charles E., of Allentown; A. Morris; Daisy who married Howard Geist, of Girardville, PA.
