Henry H. Snyder, subject, a farmer of Fricks. There are probably few older families in Hilltown township. (name original spelling Schneider) Jacob Schneider, married Elizabeth Yost, by whom he had 5 sons and 5 daughters,his oldest son,George, married Mary Wittig and had 5 children, his wife died and he married Lydia Hartzell, by whom he had one son, Henry H.. Lydia died in 1858, and he married Elizabeth Martin who died in 1864, he then married Caroline Ackerman, no children were born to the last 2 marriages.

Henry H., was born 1842, he married in 1865 Amanda R., d/o Abraham and Sarah (Reiff) Reiff of Bucks County. Children; Elmer R. (grad. of the U. of Pa.) Sallie, and Mamie.

Peter C. Snyder, subject,Tohickon, is the great-grandson of Michael Snyder, a former resident of Nockamixon township. His son, also named Michael, was the grandfather of Peter C. He died in 1865, he was married twice and three children by each wife. A son of the first wife, named Peter, the father of Peter C.. Peter died Oct. 20, 1865 aged 66. His wife was Christiana, d/o of John Crothamel. She died March, 1874. Their children; Elizabeth, wife of Eli Miller, Catharine, the wife George Hockman, Amanda the wife of Cornelius Frantz, Mary the wife of Isaac Steeley, Sarah the wife of John Weimer, of Northampton County, Lewis who died young, and Peter C., who was born March 21, 1842. He married Dec. 23, 1860 to Elizabeth, d/o John and Mary Magdalena (Trauger) Romig. Her father lived in Springtown. Her mother died April, 1887. Children; William, Henry, Mary Ann, Sylvester, Horace, who died, Isaac, Elsworth, Agnes, the wife of Wilson H. Beish, John Solomon, Amanda, Alice, twin of Agnes, Peter, Emma, Elizabeth, Franklin, Harvey, Anna Minerva and Sabilla. Members of Keller's Church.

John O. Snyder, subject, of Ottsville, belongs to a family who for generations been identified with Bucks county. His great-grandfather, Michael, a farmer and blacksmith, died in Bedminster. His son, John married Catharine Crouthhamel. They had children; Reading, lived in Bedminster, he married Mary Overholt, and they had 12 children; Catharine wife of Levi Hockman of Bedminster, Elizabeth, Reed, Reuben, Irving, William, Samuel, Alexander, Sabilia, Mary and Sarah.

John O., was born April 14, 1851, he married May 23, 1874 to Malinda Hockman, d/o Jacob. She was born in 1856 and she died in 1887 leaving two children, Nora and Lottie.

Amos H. Snyder, subject, of Quakertown, a grandson of Andrew Snyder, who was born in Deux Ponts, Alsace-Lorraine in 1739. In 1759 he came to America. He enlisted in the Cont. Army. He married Margaret Jacoby, by whom he had 5 sons and 6 daughters. He died Oct. 26, 1815 aged 76. Children; Frederick, Henry, Andrew, George, John, Margaret, Anna, Mary, Susan, Magdalena and Jane. All settled in PA., but George, Mary and Susan who moved to Ohio (Richland County)

John Snyder, the father of Amos H., married Elizabeth HINKLE, the d/o JOHN HINKLE,who served in the Rev. John Snyder and John Hinkle did not draw a pension. John Snyder died April 1840 and she died the following Dec. Children; William, Lydia, John, Tobias, Sarah, Caroline, Amos H., Andrew, Catherine, Thomas and Joseph.

Amos H., was born Dec. 21, 1848, he married Mary Anne, d/o John and Barbara (Kline) Blank. Children, Monroe B., Warren B., Robert B., and George B.. Clemntine who died at age 23 was a teacher, Oliver B., also a teacher.

Monroe B., married Susan Chaplin Berry in 1882 and had children, John Amos and Francis Berry. Warren B., married Flora Fellman and had 2 children, Blanche and Irene.
