Hi Angie, I don't believe our's Schneider's are related, only because my line did not originate in Reutlingen. My grandfather Johann Schneider was born 6 March 1906 in Almas, Torontalamas, Hungary. After WW1, the town became Jabuka, Vojvinda, Yugoslavia. Johann's parents were Johann Schneider, born 1875 and Julianna Speidel, born in 1877. They both perished in the Rudolfsgnad concentration camp sometime between the camps exsistence in 1944 to 1948. My Grandfather Johann married Franziskz Link, born around 1905. They had 4 children. Around 1949, Franziska was electricuted and died in the coalmine\work camp in Pantschowa, Serbia. Johann met my Grandmother Anna Beier [ nee Schreiner], there. Her husband [my paternal grandfather, Stefan Beier, was missing since 1945, presumed dead] They had 4 children together. In 1954 the Schneider's and Beier's emmigratred to Germany, my paternal grandfather, Stefan was officially declared dead and Anna and Johann married and settled in Reutlingen. They become a family with 8 children. Johann's children were: Franziska Schneider [emmigrated to Canada], Elisabeth Schneider, Fritzy Schneider, and Johann Schneider. Anna's Children were: Stefan Beier, Anna Beier, Rosalia Beier and my Father, Nikolaus Beier [emmigrated to Canada]. Notify Administrator about this message?
