The sixth paragraph concerning Leonard and beginning
"Snyder, John D. of Berrysburg" contains some errors
as follows:
The Leonard("Jr.") referenced was the son of
Leonard("Sr."). It was "Sr." who was an early settler in
Lykens Valley and served in the Revolutionary War. He is buried at St. Johns cemetery near Berrysburg along with his wife, Catherine (Miller) Schneider. The record of their marriage is contained in the records of the New Hanover Lutheran Church: 12/20/1768. Their first born, Leonard("Jr.") could not have served in the RWar. Leonard("Jr.")
was married to Anna Marie Schott, not "Amanda Sholt". Anna
Marie is buried in another cemetery in Berrysburg. I am a
descendant of Nicholas, second son of "Sr." I have compiled
a rather complete record of my ancestry to Leonard("Sr.")
