Hello All, I have been searching for the ancestors of Oliver P. Schneider b. Ca 1910 of Colorado Springs.(Marriage Certificate dated Ca. 1935) His parents were apparently Theobald Jacob and Ada May Schneider.(Colorado Springs City Directories) I can not find parents or origins for these folk.
However I did find an Oliver P. SNIDER in El Paso County Colorado on the Census rolls .He was born in Ohio. His mother was born in Maryland.
This Oliver was a manager, employee of the Cave of the Winds or Snider Caves discovered by George W. Snider of California. He also listed himself in the census as manager of the family estates.( 1910-1930) The on line history of the Caves does not tell of this Oliver Snider but it states the Geowge W. Snider was buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
Can any one help connect the dots or tell me of decendents of Oliver Pierre Schneider. Land or Probate records would be my guess as to where the answer lies, could some one do a look-up? Or perhaps an Obituary look-up?? Thanks Hattie
