I am hoping that my Peter and Christina Schneider, might be Peter and Christina (Komes) Schneider of Landscheid, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. It would seem to be a miracle if they were the same. The family is matching up somewhat, but, their date of immigration would have to be set at about the time of the 1860 census, which they were in ... so it is very tight with respect to baptisms. There is even one in 1861. It is very hard to find out anything from where I live. I had hoped that in your research you had taken note of both Peters. The Kome name was found in another way, as Catherine Komes, wife of Fred Schneider.
