Hi,
I think we might have a family connection. My Gover family is related to the Snyder/Snider/Schneider family of the Baltimore & Carroll County, Md family.
In the 1860 Pa census My grgrgrandmother Adaline Dean Bender is working as a Domestic for a John Snyder who has a wife listed as Catherine. At this time period my Gr Gr grandfather Franklin Gover (sometimes called himself Frederick Gover) migrated from Carroll County, Md to Lancaster county, Pa. He married Adaline Dean Bender about 1866.
Therefore, since Franklin/Frederick G. Gover is related to the Snyders he might have met Adaline through your John Snyder. Now, I know this is a far shot but it might make sense.
Please contact me as we have information to talk about and possibly make a Snyder/Gover family connection.
