"Mary A. Schone, 84, died Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Reamer of Kingsley, following a lingering illness. Mary Schneider was born Feb. 24, 1867 in Mercer County, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Gertrude Schneider. She moved to Jamestown, Mich., and on Aug. 23, 1887 was united in marriage to John Schone at Grand Rapids and to this union were born ten children. In 1902 with her husband and family, she moved to the Kingsley vicinity of Grand Traverse county where she has since made her home. Mrs. Schone was a member of the St. Mary's Altar Society for 40 years. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Amos Ommen of Williamsburg, Mrs. John Schoandorf of Cadillac, Mrs. Clarence Reamer and Mrs. Ray Gilbert of Kingsley, and Mrs. Elvin Lewis of Detroit; one son, John Schone of Cadillac; 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; four brothers, Matthew Schneider of Ohio, Peter and Nickolas of Grand Rapids, and Antone of Kingsley; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Dusendang of Doerr, Mich., and Mrs. Anna Kipen of Grand Rapids. One son and three daughters and husband preceded her death. The body will repose at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Reamer of Kingsley, where the Rosary will be recited Sunday night at 8:00 o'clock. Funeral services will be held from the St. Mary's Catholic church, Hannah, at 9:30 a.m. Monday with Rev. Fr. Sigmund officiating and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Services are in charge of the Smith Funeral Home, Kingsley."
