My husbands grandmother was Hermine Schneider born in Koln (cologne) about 1898, we think her fathers name was Herman
She came to England as the servant of a British army officer who she met whilst living on Madeira during her late teens.
We do not know any more as she refused to talk about her past to anyone.
Can anyone help as I am completely stuck.
