Would like to contact anyone with any connection to Joseph Snyder b. 1817 in Lorraine France. His name in Lorraine was Schneider. May have been a miner. May have had a brother John killed with the Donner party.
He married Christina (maiden name not known)from ??, Bavaria. Emigrated to the us where he had 4 children 2 daughter one married a Girard and 2 sons one was Joseph my grandfather.
Believe they were married in Schuykill Co, Pa and later settled in Lucerne Co., PA.
The son Joseph married Maria Shaw in Phildelphia.
