MOUNT OLIVE - Harry Edward Schneider, 81, of Mount Olive died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Mount Olive, the son of Paul and Elizabeth Ruble Schneider. He married Lucille Mae Hittmeier in 1951 in Mount Olive; she died in 1990.
Mr. Schneider graduated from Mount Olive High School in 1943. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He retired from Shell Oil Refinery in Woodriver in 1984 after 35 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Olive and Mount Olive VFW Post 5790.
Survivors: son, Paul (wife, Beth) Schneider of Mount Olive; four grandchildren; and brother, Omer Schneider of Mount Olive.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Becker & Son Funeral Home, Mount Olive, the Rev. Ben Fiore officiating. Burial: Mount Olive City Cemetery.
